On Laura & Sophie Duet - Nashville Star Season 6

"But they've got some real talent. I don't know what the comments are about them, but I think they're really good. They have a really stylized sound. And what's charming to me about them is that they're really old-school. They sing a type of country that doesn't exist anymore in the country world. They're style is really throwback. There's a charm to it. I don't know if it's a novelty or not, but there's a charm to them. "

Abandoned Opportunities

At the same time Nashville Star called Laura & Sophie for admittance into the show, Laura as a solo act was offered a spot in the show "America's Got Talent". She chose Nashville Star with her duet partner Sophie Zalokar instead in hopes for a better return. It was unfortunate that she could not do both but the timelines that both of the shows demanded were overlapping and thus impossible to achieve both.
